London and St. Louis get the lion’s share of the funding as BCLP publicizes a 20-person international promotion spherical
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) promoted 20 lawyers as part of its most recent global round of promotion, the firm announced today (Nov. 6), with London and St. Louis again receiving the majority of the booty.
The number is an increase of three from last year’s promotion spurt, despite the city’s number being one of five London-dominated lawyers last year.
The round was particularly strong for the law firm’s litigation practice. The new city partners are: Rebecca Campbell (litigation); Adam Jamieson (Litigation and Corporate Risk); Marie Johnson (corporate finance); and Sarah McAtominey (commercial litigation and high net worth individuals).
St. Louis, home to the American half of the company, again received the same investment in London, minting four new partners compared to the five the previous year. Two lawyers were promoted in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver. Moscow, Chicago, Irvine, New York, Kansas City and Phoenix all saw another partner.
Regarding attitudes, the firm’s two co-chairs, Steve Baumer and Lisa Mayhew, said in a joint statement: “The company continues to grow on a more focused platform led by our transformative efforts at Project Advance to scale up to build around existing core areas of exercise strength. At the same time, we are changing the company’s operational infrastructure to drive growth and customer experience in the years to come. We are excited to see where the talent and energy of these new partners will take us, and we congratulate everyone. The promotions will take effect January 1, 2021 and the number of BCLP partnerships will increase to 545.
